Squaremouth's Zero Complaint Team Reduces the Number of Travel

ST. PETERSBURG, FL June 26, 2012 ? Travel insurance comparison site Squaremouth.com expands the availability of information on its website relating to its longstanding Zero Complaint Guarantee. The new section provides detailed information documenting customer complaints resolved by Squaremouth?s Zero Complaint Team.

Squaremouth?s Zero Complaint Guarantee provides mediation between insurance providers and customers who may be unsatisfied with the outcome of their claim. Squaremouth guarantees to remove the provider and its products if it does not resolve the customer?s complaint to Squaremouth?s satisfaction.

?We built our system from the ground up to be able to instantly remove providers that do not adhere to Squaremouth?s strict quality standards,? explains Squaremouth CEO Chris Harvey. ?We don?t expect that every claim will be paid, but we make sure our customers who are justly entitled to claims, receive them.?

Brandi Morse, head of Squaremouth?s Zero Complaint Team, has resolved claim denials ranging from insurance provider clerical errors to more difficult scenarios that required in depth research by Squaremouth.

?In the event of a difference of opinion regarding coverage, it is our job to represent our customers? point of view to the insurance provider,? says Morse.

Earlier this month Morse assisted a Squaremouth customer whose claim was denied twice because according to the insurance provider, he did not insure his full trip cost. However, after further analysis Morse discovered the customer wasn?t informed that his tour operator increased the cost. Morse secured a resolution with the insurance provider who paid the customer?s claim of almost $14,000.

The Zero Complaint Team has recovered thousands of dollars in claim denials for Squaremouth?s customers since the site?s launch in 2003.

According to the study by the US Travel Insurance Association, over 27 million Americans purchased travel insurance in 2011. The Association estimates that approximately 15% of policyholders file a travel insurance claim and fewer than 10 percent of those claims result in a denial.

?Customers occasionally file claims because they misinterpreted the benefits payable in their policy,? says Morse. ?The vast majority of claims are paid quickly without incident.?
